Valve Lifter Installation




1. Coat the valve lifters using prelube. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers) for recommended lubricant.
2. Install the valve lifters in their original locations.
3. Apply threadlock to the threads. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers) for recommended threadlock.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

4. Install the valve lifter guides and guide bolts, and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
