Park Pawl Actuator Guide and Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the transmission fluid pan. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement.

2. Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement Transmission Replacement.





Note: Walk the pin out using side cutters or equivalent, then discard the pin.

3. Remove the park pawl actuator guide pin (1).

4. Remove the park pawl actuator guide (2).

5. Remove and Discard the park pawl actuator guide seals (3).

Installation Procedure





1. Install New seals (3) on the park pawl actuator (2).

2. Install the park pawl actuator (2).

3. Install the park pawl actuator guide pin (1).

4. Install the transmission fluid pan. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement.

5. Install the transmission assembly in the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement Transmission Replacement.
