Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Replacement (L77)

Removal Procedure

Warning:

1. Remove the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LFX) Air Conditioning Compressor ReplacementAir Conditioning Compressor Replacement (L77) Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement.





2. Remove the automatic transmission cooler pipe clamp to A/C bracket retaining bolt (3) if fitted.

3. Position the automatic transmission cooler pipe retaining bracket (2) if fitted, away from the compressor mounting bracket (1).





4. Remove the compressor drive belt tensioner to compressor mounting bracket retaining bolt (3).

5. Remove drive belt tensioner (2) from compressor mounting bracket (1).





6. Remove the compressor mounting bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).

7. Remove the compressor bracket (2) from the cylinder block (3).

Installation Procedure





1. Position the compressor mounting bracket (2) to the cylinder block (3).

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the compressor mounting bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 58 Nm (43 lb ft).





3. Position the compressor drive belt tensioner (2) to the compressor mounting bracket (1).

4. Install the compressor drive belt tensioner to compressor mounting bracket retaining bolt (3).

Tighten the bolts to 58 Nm (43 lb ft).





5. Position the automatic transmission cooler pipe retaining bracket (2) on the compressor mounting bracket (1) if fitted.

6. Install the automatic transmission cooler pipe clamp to A/C bracket retaining bolt (3).

Tighten the bolt to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
