Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Ignition OFF.





2. Remove the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement Service and Repair.

3. Remove the air cleaner assembly to chassis retaining fasteners (1).

4. Apply suitable upward pressure to the air cleaner lower housing (3) to release the retainer (2).

5. Remove the air cleaner lower housing (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the air cleaner lower housing (3) to the vehicle.

2. Apply suitable downward pressure to the air cleaner lower housing (3) to engage the retainer (2).

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the air cleaner to chassis retaining fasteners (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

4. Install the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement Service and Repair.
