Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement (L77)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front bumper fascia.





Note:
Use a clean rag to clean any spilled oil.

2. Release the quick connect fittings (3) at the auxiliary transmission oil cooler (auxiliary TOC) (1).

Note:
Cap the fittings and plug the holes when servicing the auxiliary TOC in order to prevent dirt and other contaminants from entering the open pipes and passages.

3. Disconnect the auxiliary TOC pipes (2) from the auxiliary TOC (1).





4. Remove the auxiliary TOC to mounting bracket retaining bolts (1).

5. Remove the auxiliary TOC (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the auxiliary TOC (2) to the vehicle.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the auxiliary TOC to mounting bracket retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).





Note:

* Use a clean rag to clean any spilled oil.

* Uncap the fittings and unplug the holes when installing the auxiliary TOC pipes.

3. Install the auxiliary TOC pipes (2) to the auxiliary TOC (1).

Note:
Listen for and audible click to confirm correct installation of the quick connect fittings (3).

4. Connect the quick connect fittings (3) at the auxiliary TOC (1).

5. Install the front bumper fascia.

6. Inspect the transmission oil level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check.

7. Inspect for transmission oil leaks.
