Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair




Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the right fuel tank.

2. Disconnect the vent hose from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister.





3. Disconnect the purge pipe at the EVAP canister.





4. Remove the EVAP canister bracket bolt (3).

5. Remove the EVAP canister (1) from the EVAP canister bracket (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the new EVAP canister (1) to the EVAP canister bracket (2).

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the EVAP canister bracket bolt (3).

Tighten the EVAP canister bracket bolt to 7 Nm (62 lb in).





3. Connect the purge pipe at the EVAP canister.





4. Connect the vent hose to the EVAP canister.

5. Install the right fuel tank.
