Theft Deterrent Alarm Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the rear compartment.

2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS7 or LS9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionBattery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS3) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

3. Loosen the screw from the theft deterrent alarm.

4. Lift the alarm from the bracket.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the alarm.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electric connector to the theft deterrent alarm.

2. Install the alarm to the bracket.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Tighten the screw on the alarm.

Tighten the screw to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

4. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS7 or LS9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionBattery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS3) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

5. Close the rear compartment.
