109. Fuel Injector Installation




Fuel Injector Installation





1. Install a NEW O-ring seal (3) onto the fuel injector.

2. Lubricate the O-ring seal with engine oil.

3. Install a NEW copper washer to the fuel injector.

4. Install the fuel injector bracket pin (2).

Note:
The unique fuel injector flow rates are programmed into the ECM according to cylinder location. Mark the fuel injectors for correct re-installation to the same cylinders. Failure to do so may result in a poor drive-ability condition.

5. Install the fuel injector with fuel injector bracket (1).





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

6. Install the fuel injector bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).

7. Repeat steps 1-6 to install the remaining injectors.
