Transmission Fluid Level Inspection

Removal Procedure

1. Raise vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Place basin underneath.

3. Clean away all dirt and debris from transmission case plug area.





Note:
Discard case plug.

4. Remove transmission case plug (1).

5. Add transmission fluid until it seeps out of plug hole. For transmission fluid specifications refer to Manual Transmission Specifications Manual Transmission Specifications.

Installation Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install NEW transmission case plug (1) and tighten to 4 Nm+ 45°-135° (35 lb in+ 45°-135°).

2. Lower vehicle.
