Compressed Natural Gas Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning Service Precautions.


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Service and Repair.

2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Remove the mid ship tank cover. Refer to Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Midship Tank Service and Repair





4. Remove the 3 electrical connectors from the FCM.

5. Remove the 2 FGCM mounting bracket bolts and 2 nuts.

6. Pull the FGCM out from behind the bracket while pulling the connectors through the bracket.

Installation Procedure

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install FGCM onto bracket while pulling connectors through bracket opening one by one.

2. Install the 2 FGCM mounting bracket bolts and tighten to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).

3. Connect the 3 electrical connectors to the FGCM.

4. Install the mid ship tank cover. Refer to Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Midship Tank Service and Repair

5. Install the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Service and Repair.
