Auxiliary Blower Motor: Service and Repair




Auxiliary Blower Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the auxiliary HVAC module. Refer to Auxiliary HVAC Module Removal and Installation Auxiliary HVAC Module Removal and Installation.

2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the auxiliary blower motor.





3. Remove the screws (1) from the auxiliary blower motor.

4. Remove the auxiliary blower motor (2).

5. Remove the retaining clip from the fan cage.

6. Remove the fan cage from the auxiliary blower motor.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the fan cage to the auxiliary blower motor.

2. Install the retaining clip to the fan cage.

3. Install the auxiliary blower motor.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the screws (1) to the auxiliary blower motor (2) and tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

5. Connect the electrical connectors to the auxiliary blower motor.

6. Install the auxiliary HVAC module. Refer to Auxiliary HVAC Module Removal and Installation Auxiliary HVAC Module Removal and Installation.
