Rear Brake Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning Brake Dust Warning.


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Removal and Replacement.

3. Remove the rear brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement Rear Brake Rotor Replacement.




4. Remove the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly (1). Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement Rear Suspension.




5. Remove the rear brake shield (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear brake shield (1).




2. Install the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly (1). Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement Rear Suspension.

3. Install the rear brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement Rear Brake Rotor Replacement.

4. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Removal and Replacement.
