Air Conditioning Refrigerant Desiccant Replacement

GE-39400-A - Halogen Leak Detector

For equivalent regional tools, Refer to Special Tools Tools and Equipment

Removal Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (High Voltage Electric Compressor) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (High Voltage Electric Compressor).

2. Remove the front wheelhouse front liner on the driver side. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement





3. Remove the air conditioning receiver and dehydrator Plug (1)

Note:
Cap all A/C components immediately to prevent system contamination.

4. Remove and discard the sealing washers (2).

5. Remove the receiver and dehydrator (3) from the condenser.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the receiver and dehydrator (3) in the condenser.

2. Install new sealing washers (2).

3. Install the air conditioning receiver and dehydrator Plug (1)

4. Install the front wheelhouse front liner on the driver side. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement

5. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (High Voltage Electric Compressor) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (High Voltage Electric Compressor).

6. Leak test the fittings using the GE-39400-A - Halogen Leak Detector
