Engine Ground Strap Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement .





2. Remove the engine ground strap bolt (1) and terminal (2), from the wheelhouse panel.

3. Unclip the ground strap from the retainers.





4. Remove the engine ground strap bolt (1) and terminal (2), from the engine block.

5. Unclip the ground strap from the retainers and remove the ground strap from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the engine ground strap terminal (2) to the engine block and tighten bolt (1) to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).





2. Install the engine ground strap terminal (2) to the wheelhouse panel and tighten bolt (1) to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).

3. Install the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement .
