1. Attach rubber band to green tang of intermediate choke shaft, then open throttle to allow choke valve to close.
2. Install angle gauge, Fig. 11, rotate degree scale until zero is opposite pointer, center leveling bubble, then rotate gauge to angle specified in Specifications Chart.
3. Seat vacuum break plunger using an external vacuum source of at least 18 inches Hg. If equipped with air bleed, plug bleed holes with masking tape. If equipped with bucking spring, spring must be seated against lever.
4. To adjust, rotate adjusting screw, with vacuum applied, until bubble is centered, Fig. 12, then remove gauge. Air valve rod must not restrict plunger from seating. If necessary, bend rod to permit full plunger travel.
