Sections 3A, 9C - Control Module System (93 PCM 6), Port EGR Valve - Revised Step 1 of DTC 32 (Port) and EGR System Check with Port EGR

Models:
1995 Chevrolet and GMC C/K, G, P3 and PG Models
with 5.7L Engine (VIN K - RPO LO5)

This bulletin is being issued to inform technicians of a revision to the DTC 32 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Error (Port) chart and the EGR System Check with Port EGR valve chart in the following Driveability, Emissions and Electrical Diagnosis Service Manuals:

1995 C/K Truck - pages 3A-53 and 9C-5
1995 G Van - pages 3A-53 and 9C-5
1995 PG and P3 Chassis - page 3A-47

Technicians are instructed to replace the information in Step 1 of these charts to read as follows:

^ Check vacuum source to EVRV solenoid (if not OK, repair).

^ Check vacuum hose between EVRV solenoid and EGR valve for restrictions (if not OK, repair).

^ Start and idle engine.

^ With Tech 1 scan tool command EVRV solenoid "ON". Observe EGR valve.

Valve should move. Does it?
