Wiper Switch: Testing and Inspection


1. On models with an instrument panel switch, remove switch to gain access to terminals.
2. On models with a column mounted switch, disconnect electrical connector to switch at body wiring harness connector.
3. Operate switch in all positions, and check continuity between terminals with an ohmmeter. On instrument panel mounted switches, ground is the switch body.
4. If continuity is not as specified in charts, replace switch.
