The 2.2L Camshaft Package, PN 4271910, has been superseded to Camshaft Package PN 4293817. The new package includes camshaft followers with powdered metal insert at the camshaft contact surface area. The powdered metal insert cam followers provides improved wear resistance characteristics.


As a result of this change, valve spring replacement is no longer an automatic requirement when replacing a camshaft as stated in Technical Service Bulletin #09-07-83. Please make a note of this information in bulletin #09-07-83.
