Timing Belt: Adjustments

1. Remove timing belt upper and lower cover, refer to Engine/Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair.
2. Install belt tensioner gauge on timing belt between camshaft pulleys and adjust tension to 110 lb-ft.
3. Rotate crankshaft clockwise two full turns and check alignment of camshaft and crankshaft.
NOTE: Do not rotate crankshaft counterclockwise or attempt to rotate engine using cam or accessory shaft attaching screw.
4. Check belt tension, adjust if necessary.
