WHEN MONITORED:
The test is conducted during periods of acceleration.

SET CONDITION:
The Controller, Anti-lock Brake (CAB) monitors each individual wheel speed sensor for acceleration rates. The trouble code is stored when an unrealistic acceleration rate is monitored on any wheel for over 110 ms.

NOTE: The loss of continuity on any wheel speed sensor can cause this code to be stored. If the "Intermittent WSS Signal" code is stored, it will also cause a "CAB Malfunction" code to be stored.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
- Failed CAB
- Intermittent open circuit of any wheel speed sensor
- Wheel speed sensor harnesses damaged
