TIP: Do not erase trouble codes until after the codes have been read. If the codes are erased valuable diagnostic information may be lost.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes.
2. Reconnect cable.
3. Verify repair by attempting to set previous code(s).
4. Start the engine and run it at idle for about 15 minutes after the engine has warmed up.
