Driver Side Airbag Module Replacement

Prior to performing service procedure, disarm air bag system as described under Air Bag System Disarming & Arming at Air Bag Systems/ Service and Repair. Failure to disarm air bag system could result in system deployment and personal injury.

1. Ensure front wheels are in straight ahead position.
2. Disarm air bag.
3. Remove speed control switches or covers from steering wheel and disconnect wiring.
4. Remove air bag module mounting bolts from steering wheel sides.
5. Lift module, then disconnect air bag and horn wiring connectors.
6. Remove air bag module from steering wheel.
7. Reverse procedure to install and torque module bolts to 105-125 inch lbs.
