Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arms and blades.
3. Remove cowl screen.
4. Remove wiper motor mounting screws, then lift assembly to access harness clip.
5. Disconnect harness clip at forward mounting leg, then disconnect motor electrical connector.
6. Disconnect drive linkage at motor output crank, then use a suitable ball joint separator tool to separate ball cap from ball.
7. Remove motor.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque mounting screws to 8-9 ft-lbs. and motor screws to 19-23 ft-lbs.
