Blower Motor: Testing and Inspection
Inspection:
BLOWER FAN AND MOTOR CHECK
When battery voltage is applied between the terminals, check that the motor operates. Also, check an abnormal noise.
Resistor Resistance Check:
RESISTOR RESISTANCE CHECK
Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between the terminals as indicated below. Check that the measured value is at the standard value.
Measurement Terminal Standard Value -- Ohms
Between terminals 3 - 2 (LO) 1.83 ohms
Between terminals 3 - 4 (ML) 0.87 ohms
Between terminals 3 - 1 (MH) 0.31 ohms
