A/C Control Blend Door Input Shorted to Battery Trouble Code
NAME OF CODEA/C Control Blend door Input Shorted to Battery (manual HVAC only)
WHEN MONITORED
With ignition on
SET CONDITION
BCM detects an abnormally high voltage on its blend request input
THEORY OF OPERATION
The BCM reads the signal from the manual HVAC blend request and positions the blend door accordingly. If the voltage on this pin is too high (greater than 95% of ignition voltage), this fault will be set and the BCM will place the blend door in a default position.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Temperature select circuit shorted to battery
- Manual HVAC head failure
- BCM failure
