Left Mirror Horizontal Sensor Out of Range Low Trouble Code

NAME OF CODE
Left Mirror Horizontal Sensor Out of Range Low

WHEN MONITORED
Ignition on.

SET CONDITION
Immediately set when the value is out of range.

THEORY OF OPERATION
The mirror motors have potentiometer/sensors attached to them. When the mirror moves a potentiometer value changes. The potentiometers are designed to operate within a window of values. Any values outside of the normal will cause a code to be set. Therefore, when the mirror sensor feed back to the MHSMM is less than the mirror sensor out of range low value stored in EEPROM, a code will be set.

PROBABLE CAUSE
- Mirror motor failure (value)
- Left mirror horizontal position signal ckt shorted to ground
- MHSMM failure
