Timing Cover: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove right inner splash shield.
2. Remove the accessory drive belts. Refer to Cooling System for service procedure.
3. Remove right engine mount.
4. Remove crankshaft damper.

NOTE: To remove engine mount bracket the lower timing belt cover must be removed first.

Timing Belt Covers:





5. Remove the right engine mount bracket.
6. Remove the timing belt covers. Remove covers in this order:
a. Upper left cover.
b. Louver cover.
c. Upper right cover.

NOTE: To remove right/rear timing belt cover, the power steering pump bracket must be removed.

7. To install, reverse removal procedures.
