SUBJECT:
Tick Type Noise At Top Of Left B-Pillar
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves applying structural adhesive to, and installing a screw in the root rail forward of the left B-pillar.

1996 - 1999 (GS) Chrysler Voyager (International Market)
NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A LEFT SIDE SLIDING DOOR.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A tick type noise is heard at the top of the left B-pillar area when driving the vehicle. An uneven road surface that applies a twist load to the body or during throttle tip-in and/or tip-out may make the noise occur more frequently.
DIAGNOSIS:
Insure the sliding door and its stabilizer wedges and front door are properly aligned. If door alignment is correct and the vehicle operator has described the above Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
1 NPN Screw, Sheetmetal 4.8 mm (3/16 in. or no. 10) diameter x 16 mm (5/8 in.
long) with a blunt tip
1 NPN Strip, 3M Silencer p/n 08585 or equivalent
1 NPN Adhesive, Fusor 148 Two Part Urethane, 1.7 ounce
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
AR (1) NPN Kit, Fusor # 513 Caulking Gun Conversion or Dispenser, Fusor # 300
NOTE:
CONTACT YOUR LOCAL BODY SHOP MATERIALS SUPPLIER FOR THE FUSOR PRODUCTS REQUIRED FOR THIS BULLETIN. THE NAME OF A LOCAL SUPPLIER CAN BE OBTAINED BY CALLING 1-800-234-FUSOR (3876) AND THEN PRESSING THE 3 BUTTON. EITHER THE DISPENSER OR CAULKING GUN CONVERSION KIT CAN BE USED TO APPLY THE ADHESIVE.
