Liftgate

CYLINDER - LOCK

REMOVAL

NOTE: Do not remove the E-clip from the back of the lock cylinder.




1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the latch control.
3. Disengage the retainer clip that secures the lock cylinder (2) to the liftgate (1) and remove the lock cylinder and gasket.

INSTALLATION




1. Position the lock cylinder (2) and gasket to the liftgate (1).
2. Install the retainer clip that secures the lock cylinder to the liftgate. Make sure the retainer clip is fully engaged to the lock cylinder.
3. Install the latch control.
4. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
5. Verify liftgate lock cylinder and latch operation.
