Variable Induction Control Solenoid: Service and Repair

SHORT RUNNER VALVE SOLENOID

REMOVAL

NOTE: The SRV reservoir is common with the speed control reservoir. The solenoid is mounted on the passenger side of the engine.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove electrical connector (Fig. 20).
3. Remove vacuum hoses.
4. Unclip RSV solenoid from holding bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Clip SRV solenoid onto holding bracket.
2. Install vacuum hoses to solenoid.
3. Install electrical connector.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
