Shift Interlock: Adjustments

ADJUSTMENTS
1. Remove the shifter handle.
2. Remove the console bezel.
3. Remove lower console.





4. Move the gear shifter to PARK and the ignition key to the LOCK position (Fig. 359). Remove the ignition key.





5. Loosen the locking clip (Fig. 360) on the interlock cable to allow cable to "self adjust." Press locking clip (Fig. 360) by hand to secure adjustment.
6. Verify Shift Interlock System operation. If interlock system response is different than intended operation, Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING.
7. Install lower console.
8. Install the bezel on the shifter console.
9. Install shifter handle.
