Wiper and Washer Systems: Service and Repair

WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR

REMOVAL
1. Remove reservoir. Refer to Electrical, Wipers/ Washers, Washer Reservoir, Removal.

2. Gently pry float level sensor away from reservoir and out of grommet. Care must be taken not to puncture reservoir.
3. Remove rubber grommet from reservoir and throw away.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the rubber grommet into the reservoir.
2. Gently push the float level sensor into the reservoir and grommet. Care must be taken not to puncture reservoir.
3. Install the washer reservoir. Refer to Electrical, Wipers/Washers, Washer Reservoir, Installation. Tighten the reservoir nuts and screw to 4.5 Nm (40 in lbs) torque. Fill reservoir.
