Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Unlock the camshaft sensor electrical connector.

Mounting Bolt Loose:




3. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the camshaft sensor.

Camshaft Position Sensor Location:




4. Loosen the mounting bolts.

Sensor Removed:




5. Remove camshaft sensor.

Camshaft Position Sensor:




6. Camshaft Position Sensor removed.

INSTALLATION

Camshaft Position Sensor:




1. Camshaft Position Sensor.

Mounting Bolt Loose:




2. Install camshaft position sensor.

Camshaft Position Sensor Location:




3. Tighten the mounting bolt to N.m 12 (106 in. lbs.).
4. Install and lock the camshaft sensor electrical connector.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
