Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
When servicing throttle body components, always reassemble components with new O-rings and seals where applicable. Never use lubricants on O-rings or seals, damage may result.

1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2. Remove electrical connector from idle air control valve.
3. Remove idle air control valve mounting screws.
4. Remove motor from throttle body. Ensure the 0-ring is removed with the valve.

INSTALLATION

O-Rings:




When servicing throttle body components, always reassemble components with new 0-rings and seals where applicable.

1. The new idle air control valve has a new O-ring installed on it.
2. Carefully place idle air control valve into throttle body.
3. Install mounting screw. Tighten screw to 4.5 Nm (40 in. lbs.) torque.
4. Connect electrical connector to idle air control valve
5. Connect negative cable to battery.
