Convertible Top Relay: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the rear seat cushion.
3. Remove the rear seat back.
4. Pull back the insulation to access the power top relay assembly.

Hydraulic Pump/Motor And Relay:




5. Disconnect the power top relay wire harness connector.
6. Pry up on the relay assembly to release the retaining pin from the body panel.
7. Remove the relay assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the power top relay assembly onto the body panel and push into place so that the retaining pin is fully seated.

Hydraulic Pump/Motor And Relay:




2. Connect the power top relay wire harness connector.
3. Secure the insulation to the body panel above the hydraulic pump/motor assembly.
4. Install the rear seat back.
5. Install the rear seat cushion.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
7. Verify normal power top system operation.
