Installation






3.8L




1. Install idler pulley to generator.

2. Install assembly to vehicle.




3. Loose install upper mounting bolt.




4. Loose install rear mounting bolt.




5. Loose install the lower mounting bolt.




6. Idler pulley installed.

7. Tighten bolts to 54.2 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).




8. Relocate the power steering pump assembly.




9. Install the 3 mounting bolts and tighten to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.).




10. Install the accessory drive belt.




11. Connect the battery cable to generator.

12. Tighten nut to 12.5 Nm (110 in. lbs.).

13. Snap cable cover back into place.




14. Connect the field connector (2).




15. Lock connector (1).

16. Connect negative battery cable.

17. Install the air box assembly.
