REMOVAL

Refer to Service Precautions for description of tools and adhesive systems that are recommended for use in this procedure.


LIFTGATE GLASS REMOVAL - EXTERIOR METHOD





1. Remove rear wiper arm.

2. Remove interior trim covers.

3. Disconnect wires for electrically heated window, if equipped.

4. Using a sharp cold knife, cut urethane adhesive attaching the liftgate glass to the liftgate. A power cutting device can be used if available.

5. Remove liftgate glass from vehicle.


LIFTGATE GLASS REMOVAL - INTERIOR METHOD





1. Remove rear wiper arm.

2. Remove interior trim covers.

3. Disconnect wires for electrically heated window, if equipped.

4. Using a reciprocating or oscillating power knife, cut urethane adhesive holding the liftgate glass to the liftgate. Refer to instructions provided with the equipment being used.

5. Remove liftgate glass from vehicle.
