A/C COMPRESSOR





NOTE: Denso 10SR17 compressor shown. Denso 10S20 compressor similar.

Vehicles with the 3.7L and 4.7L engines are equipped with the Denso 10SR17 A/C compressor (1). Vehicles with the 5.7L engine are equipped with the Denso 10S20 A/C compressor. Both A/C compressors are a fixed displacement, five double-acting piston, reciprocating swash plate-type compressor. Both A/C compressors have the suction and discharge ports (2) located at the rear of the compressor, near the cylinder head (3).

A label identifying the use of R-134a refrigerant and ND-8 PAG oil is located on both A/C compressors.
