Latch Retainer







LATCH RETAINER





NOTE: Be sure to reinstall all shims that were removed from between the latch and the windshield header.

1. Install the latch retainer (2), shim(s) (3), and retaining screws (4). Check the measurement between the latch (2) and the windshield header (1). The latch should be 0.8 mm (.031 in.) above the windshield header on both sides (6). Tighten bolts to 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.).
2. Connect the latch retainer switch harness connector (5) (right side only).
3. Connect the universal transmitter harness connector and install the lower windshield trim panel.
4. Install the dome lamp assembly.
5. Install the right and left sun visors.
6. Install both A-pillar trim panels. A-Pillar Trim Panel-Installation.
7. Install the upper windshield trim panel.
8. Raise the convertible top.
