Removal

REMOVAL

1. Remove the transmission. For manual Manual Transmission/Transaxle - Removal, for automatic Removal.
2. Remove the starter. Starter Motor - Removal.




3. Using Special Tool 9102 Flywheel Locking Tool (1), lock the flywheel by inserting the tool in the starter opening.
4. Remove the clutch if equipped. Clutch Disc - Removal.




5. Remove and discard the flywheel bolts (1).
6. Remove the spacer (2) and the flywheel/flexplate (3).
7. Inspect the rear crankshaft oil seal for leakage. Replace if required.
