Installation







NON-ADJUSTABLE





1. If required, install electronic throttle control (2) on pedals assembly. Install three mounting screws (1).




2. Install pedals assembly (2) under instrument panel and slide onto upper mounting studs with mounting nuts (1) loosely installed on upper dash panel bracket and over power brake booster studs. Place it flush up against dash panel. Do not tighten nuts at this time.




3. Install four power brake booster mounting nuts (2). Tighten nuts to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).




4. Tighten two pedal assembly upper mounting nuts (1) to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
5. Connect wiring connector at electronic throttle control (accelerator).




6. Slide booster push rod (1) onto brake pedal pin. Install NEW retaining clip (4) securing push rod to brake pedal.
7. Install and adjust NEW brake lamp switch. Installation




8. Connect steering column coupling to intermediate shaft. To do so:
a. Match intermediate shaft (1) to coupling pinch loop.
b. Install coupling pinch bolt (8). Tighten to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
c. Install hair pin (7) through end of pinch bolt.




9. Remove steering wheel holder.




10. Install instrument panel lower left reinforcement (1).
11. Install datalink connector (2) in bracket on instrument panel lower left reinforcement (1).
12. Install knee blocker airbag as well as all components necessary to access it. Knee Blocker Airbag - Installation
13. Connect negative battery cable to battery post.
14. Test operation of adjustable pedals.
15. Road test vehicle testing operation of steering, brakes and accelerator.
