Installation







INSTALLATION

1. Install remote audio control switches on steering wheel. Installation
2. Install speed control switches on steering wheel. Installation




3. Match splines on steering wheel hub with that on steering shaft, then slide steering wheel (3) onto column shaft.
4. Install damper (4) on steering wheel.
5. Install steering wheel retaining bolt (5). Tighten bolt to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).




6. Connect speed control wiring connector (2) at clockspring (3).




7. Connect two airbag squib connectors (1, 2) and horn connector (5) to driver airbag.
8. Place driver airbag (3) on steering wheel and install mounting screws (4). Tighten screws to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.).
9. Connect battery negative (-) cable to battery post following special Diagnosis And Testing procedure. Refer to appropriate testing.
10. Check operation of horn, speed control and remote audio controls.
