Installation







ADJUSTABLE





1. If required, install electronic throttle control (2) on pedals assembly. Install three mounting screws (1).




2. Install adjustable pedals assembly under instrument panel and slide onto power brake booster (3) studs.




3. Clip wiring harness (2) to right side of pedals assembly (3) at two locations (1).




4. Position pedals assembly into mounted position and hand start two nuts (2) fastening pedal assembly (1) to upper dash panel bracket. Do not tighten nuts at this time.




5. Install four power brake booster mounting nuts (2). Tighten nuts to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).




6. Tighten two pedal assembly upper mounting nuts (2) to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).




7. Connect wiring connector (2) at adjustable pedals motor (3).
8. Connect wiring connector (5) at electronic throttle control (accelerator) (4).
9. Connect wiring connector (1) at brake pedal position sensor (6).




10. Slide booster push rod (1) onto brake pedal pin. Install NEW retaining clip (4) securing push rod to brake pedal.




11. Install and adjust NEW stop lamp switch (1) in pedals assembly. Installation




12. Connect steering column coupling to intermediate shaft. To do so:
a. Match intermediate shaft (1) to coupling pinch loop.
b. Install coupling pinch bolt (8). Tighten to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
c. Install hair pin (7) through end of pinch bolt.




13. Remove steering wheel holder.




14. Install instrument panel lower left reinforcement (1).
15. Install datalink connector (2) in bracket on instrument panel lower left reinforcement (1).
16. Install knee blocker airbag as well as all components necessary to access it. Knee Blocker Airbag - Installation
17. Connect negative battery cable to battery post.
18. Test operation of adjustable pedals.
19. Road test vehicle testing operation of steering, brakes and accelerator.
