Front Wheel Speed Sensor - Removal







REMOVAL

1. Access and remove front brake rotor. Brake Rotor - Removal




2. Disconnect vehicle wiring harness (1) from wheel speed sensor connector (2).
3. Unclip wheel speed sensor connector (2) from frame rail outer reinforcement, then open routing clip (3) on reinforcement and remove cable.




4. Remove screw (2) fastening wheel speed sensor routing bracket (3) to strut assembly (1).




5. Open routing clip (3) at knuckle and remove wheel speed sensor cable or remove routing clip from knuckle.

CAUTION: Prior to removal, clean area around sensor head to help prevent contaminants from entering bearing when sensor head is removed.

6. Remove screw (1) fastening speed sensor head (4) to hub and bearing (2).
7. Remove wheel speed sensor from hub and bearing.
