CAUTION: The short runner valve (SRV) solenoid must be align correctly internally and externally before tightening the mounting bolts. The SRV solenoid will sit flush with the intake manifold when aligned correctly. Failure to correctly align the SRV solenoid prior to tightening the bolts may damage the SRV solenoid and/or the intake manifold.

1. Install a new gasket (2), to SRV solenoid if necessary.
2. Align SRV solenoid shaft into notch (4) on the intake manifold, and position the SRV solenoid cut out (5) with the locating tab (3) on the intake manifold.
3. Install bolts (1) and tighten to 5.5 Nm (50 in. lbs.).
