Removal

REMOVAL

1. Open top and put in the vertical position.
2. Remove the header rail trim Removal.
3. Remove the headliner enough to access the front header casting assembly Headliner - Removal.
a. Remove the push pins on the headliner at the header.
b. Peel back the headliner and release the j-clips to the headliner.
c. Remove the screws on the sides of the top retaining the elastic straps.
4. Remove the front top cover retainer Removal.
5. Peel back the weatherstrips on both sides on the front header casting assembly.
6. Peel back the soft top cover from the first two panels.

WARNING: As the 2/3 bow assembly spring is removed, the top may fall in the front so make sure it is supported to prevent personal or fatal injury.

7. Remove the 2/3 bow spring.
