Crankshaft Position Sensor - Installation

NOTE: If reinstalling the sensor, check O-ring on the sensor for damage, replace if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil before installing sensor.

1. Install crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (3) into the transmission housing.
2. Install bolt (2) to CKP sensor (3) and tighten the bolt to 9 Nm (79.5 in. lbs.).
3. Connect electrical connector (1) to CKP sensor (3).
4. Connect negative battery cable and tighten to 16.5 Nm (145 in. lbs.).
