When the front switch for the power rear sunshade, located in the U-Connect Touch (TM) screen module is pressed with the ignition on, a signal is sent to the Body Control Module (BCM) over the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus, signaling the module to raise or lower the rear sunshade. The BCM provide a hard-wired resistance signal to the sunshade control module to raise or lower the sunshade. Pressing the power sunshade switch once will either raise or lower the sunshade, depending on its currant position. Pressing the same switch a second time will reverse the motor, and return the sunshade to its original position before the switch was pressed.

The front switch for the power rear sunshade located in the U-Connect Touch (TM) screen module cannot be adjusted or repaired. If the switch is inoperative or damaged, the entire U-Connect Touch (TM) screen module must be replaced.
