Exhaust Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation
6.4LThe Exhaust Differential Pressure Sensor (2) is remotely mounted on the transmission housing. One pressure tube (3) measures back-pressure created by the valves located at the cold end of the exhaust system. The sensor monitors the pressure in the exhaust system and determines if the valves are working properly for engine performance.
