Cylinder Head Assembly

CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY






Tighten the retaining bolts.
Tighten bolts 1-10 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 11-15 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 1-10 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
Verify bolts 11-15 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 1-10 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
Rotate bolts 1-10 an additional 90 degrees.
Tighten bolts 11-15 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).











SURFACE VARIATION

If tolerances exceed 0.0508 mm (0.002 in.) replace the cylinder head.






CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP

Install the camshaft thrust plate,
Tighten retaining bolts 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.).
